DocGo Chief Executive Anthony Capone has resigned due to personal reasons, the company said in a regulatory filing Friday.

Capone will be replaced by President and Chief Operating Officer Lee Bienstock, whose position will remain vacant.

Capone’s professional biography on the company’s website was found to have contained false information, according to an article from the Times-Union. They reported that Capone falsely claimed to have received a graduate degree in artificial intelligence from Clarkson University. Capone admitted that the information was false, the Times Union said.

DocGo has been under fire in recently because of a $432 million contract with New York City to provide services to asylum seekers. New York City Comptroller Brad Lander last week declined to approve the contract due to concerns around the company’s ability to deliver on the contracted services.

DocGo said at the time that there was no risk of not being paid for the services it provided after Lander’s decision.
