Bureau Veritas said that it is making changes to its executive committee, including the appointment of its first chief digital officer, to support its growth ambitions.
The France-based certification company said on Friday that it has appointed Juliano Cardoso to the newly created role of executive vice-president, corporate development and sustainability, a position that seeks to increase strategic focus.
Philipp Karmires has been named as executive vice-president and group chief digital officer, a new position that aims to boost the company’s digital capabilities, it said.
Bureau Veritas said it will split the current bundling of Asia-Pacific and Middle East into two new regions for its commodities, industries and facilities division to accelerate growth and exploit potential. One region will include Middle East, Caspian and Africa, while the other will focus on Asia-Pacific, including China and India.
Surachet Tanwongsval will become the company’s executive vice-president for the CIF division for Asia-Pacific, it said.
All the new appointments are set to take on their responsibilities from Jan. 1, the company said.
Bureau Veritas said that these changes are designed to align the organization with its strategic imperatives.
