If it’s new and generating lots of buzz, chances are the scammers will find it. Regulators are warning of a rise in scams targeting investors with promises about lucrative trading strategies built around artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.
The new investor alert comes from brokerage industry self-regulatory organization Finra and the North American Securities Administrators Association, a coalition of state securities regulators.
