Bank stocks have taken the broader market drop particularly hard, and they’re nearing levels that make them look attractive. 

The SPDR S&P Bank exchange-traded fund (ticker: KBE), home to large investment banks and many super-regionals, has dropped 1.7% year to date, to $54.55. The S&P 500 index has dropped 6% from its record high hit in February.
