Powersports retailer RumbleOn has tapped former Harley-Davidson executive Michael Kennedy as its new chief executive, effective Nov. 1.

RumbleOn on Friday said Kennedy spent more than 25 years at Harley-Davidson, culminating in a stint as vice president and managing director, Americas, from 2010 to 2017.

The company said Kennedy, who most recently served as president and CEO of parts and accessories maker Vance & Hines, will also join its board.

RumbleOn’s former chief operating officer, Mark Tkach, has been serving as interim CEO following the June resignation of Marshall Chesrown amid allegations surrounding Chesrown’s use of company resources.

Tkach and William Coulter, a former RumbleOn executive vice chairman, were part of a proxy fight that ended following Chesrown’s resignation.

In July, Chesrown said he was preparing to file legal claims for more than $57 million against the company, some of its officers and directors, and their respective affiliates.
