Shearwater Group named Adam Hurst as interim chief financial officer on an initial six-month contract, and said he will join the board in due course, while outgoing CFO Paul McFadden will remain for a transition period.
The London-listed cybersecurity company said that Hurst has more than 20 years of experience in senior finance roles, most recently as CFO of Yell Ltd. He also held roles as divisional CFO of Entertainment One and Group Financial Controller of Tate & Lyle.
“We are delighted to welcome [Hurst] to the group, and to have secured the services of such an experienced chief financial officer, initially on an interim basis. We are looking forward to working with him as we seek to improve shareholder returns,” Chairman David Williams said.
