Prosecutor: DOJ’s push to expedite Trump trials violates policy
The DOJ manual “says prosecutors should never select the timing of any action…with the election in mind,” says former federal prosecutor Elie Honig. “And it’s hard for me to square that with Jack Smith…asking for everything to be mega-expedited…So I do think that that violates DOJ’s own internal manual.”
